Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
The technology we use at Orléans Queensway Dental helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run more smoothly.
Since we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we're able to show you any oral health issues you may have and walk you through your treatment plan.
Ensuring you are fully informed about your oral health is part of providing personalized dental care. Dental technology helps us accomplish this goal.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays replace traditional photographic X-ray film with digital sensors. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that would not be visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Your dentist can use panoramic X-rays to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of your teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for extractions, implants and more.
